Terms and Conditions
Last updated: Jul 08, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the ScriptExpert website, marketplace and related services.
They apply to visitors, registered customers, Authors and any other person or business using ScriptExpert.
By creating an account, purchasing or downloading a product, publishing a product, subscribing to a service or otherwise using the platform, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
1. About ScriptExpert
ScriptExpert is an online marketplace for digital products and software-related services.
The marketplace allows independent developers, designers, software publishers and other digital creators to make products available to customers. Products may include source code, PHP and Laravel scripts, mobile applications, desktop software, templates, themes, plugins, extensions, design resources, documentation and developer tools.
ScriptExpert provides the technical infrastructure through which these products may be displayed, hosted, promoted, licensed, purchased and downloaded.
ScriptExpert may also provide services directly to Authors, including subscription-based plugins, marketplace tools, analytics, promotional features, automation services and other software utilities.
Unless the relevant product page or checkout page expressly states otherwise, products available through the marketplace are created, supplied and licensed by independent Authors rather than by ScriptExpert.
2. Platform operator
ScriptExpert is operated by:
Legal name: Amicii Distral S.R.L
Registered office: Republicii 15, Eforie, Romania
Company registration number: 44857532
VAT number: RO44857532
General contact: contact[@]scriptexpert.net
Customer support: support[@]scriptexpert.net
References to “ScriptExpert”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean the legal entity identified above.
3. Important explanation of our marketplace role
ScriptExpert operates as an intermediary between customers looking for digital products and Authors offering those products.
For most marketplace transactions, ScriptExpert provides the platform, payment facilitation, product hosting, download access, customer assistance and dispute-management tools. The relevant Author remains responsible for the product they publish and sell.
The product page will identify the Author and, where required, indicate whether the Author is acting as a professional trader.
Unless ScriptExpert is expressly identified as the seller, the licence or supply agreement for a marketplace product is concluded between the customer and the Author.
The Author is responsible for the product’s development, functionality, description, legality, intellectual-property rights, compatibility, documentation, updates and promised support.
ScriptExpert remains responsible for the services it supplies directly, for the operation of its own platform and for the obligations imposed on it by applicable law.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old or have reached the legal age required to enter into a binding contract in your country.
When using ScriptExpert on behalf of a company, agency or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms and Conditions on behalf of that organisation.
You may not use ScriptExpert where access to the platform or the relevant transaction would violate applicable law, trade restrictions, sanctions or another legally binding obligation.
5. User accounts
Certain platform features require a registered account.
You must provide information that is accurate, complete and current. You must also keep your login credentials confidential and take reasonable measures to prevent unauthorised access.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless the activity results from a security failure attributable to ScriptExpert.
You must notify ScriptExpert promptly if you believe that your account or payment information has been accessed without permission.
Accounts may not be sold, transferred or shared for the purpose of avoiding product licences, marketplace fees, account restrictions or other platform rules.
ScriptExpert may request identity, contact, business, tax or payment information where this is reasonably necessary to verify an account, process transactions, prevent fraud or comply with legal obligations.
6. Customers and Authors
A “Customer” is a person or organisation that purchases, licenses, downloads or uses a product through ScriptExpert.
An “Author” is a person or organisation that publishes, licenses or sells products through the marketplace.
An Author may be an individual developer, a sole trader, a company or another legal entity.
Authors must declare whether they are acting for purposes relating to their trade, business, craft or profession. ScriptExpert may request supporting information and may verify the identity and status of an Author before allowing products to be sold.
Where an Author is acting as a professional trader, applicable consumer protection rules may apply to purchases made by consumers.
Where an Author is not acting as a professional trader, some consumer rights that normally apply to contracts between consumers and professional traders may not apply. The Author’s declared status will be made available before the purchase is completed where required by law.
7. Product listings
Authors must provide clear, accurate and sufficiently detailed information about each product.
A product description should explain the product’s main purpose, included functionality, technical requirements, supported environments, installation requirements, licence conditions and available support.
Where relevant, the Author should also identify required third-party services, paid dependencies, external APIs, hosting requirements and any functionality that is not included in the purchase.
Authors must not publish misleading descriptions, manipulated demonstrations, false performance claims or information that could cause a reasonable customer to misunderstand what is being purchased.
Screenshots, videos and demonstrations should represent the actual product or clearly identify features that require additional configuration, third-party services or separate purchases.
ScriptExpert may edit the formatting or presentation of a listing without changing its material commercial meaning.
8. Product review and approval
ScriptExpert may review products before or after publication for quality, security, presentation and compliance with marketplace rules.
Products may be tested automatically or manually. ScriptExpert may request documentation, source files, licence evidence or other information from an Author.
A product review does not transfer responsibility for the product from the Author to ScriptExpert. It also does not guarantee that every defect, vulnerability, compatibility problem or legal issue has been identified.
ScriptExpert may reject, restrict or remove a product that does not meet marketplace standards or creates a legal, security, reputational or customer-protection risk.
9. Placing an order
Before submitting an order, customers will be given an opportunity to review the selected product, licence, price, applicable taxes and other material purchase information.
The customer must verify that the product is suitable for the intended project and that its technical requirements are compatible with the customer’s environment.
An order is normally accepted when payment has been successfully authorised and an order confirmation has been issued.
ScriptExpert may cancel or refuse a transaction where payment cannot be verified, fraud is suspected, the product is no longer available, a legal restriction applies or the displayed price contains an obvious error.
If an order is cancelled after payment has been collected, the relevant amount will be returned using the original payment method where reasonably possible.
10. Prices and taxes
Product prices are shown in the currency displayed on the product page or at checkout.
Applicable VAT or other transaction taxes may be included in the displayed price or added during checkout, depending on the customer’s location, tax status and applicable law.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate billing and tax information.
Authors remain responsible for their own income, corporate, social-security and other business taxes, except where ScriptExpert or a payment provider is legally required to calculate, collect, withhold, report or remit an amount.
11. Payments
Payments may be processed by ScriptExpert or by an authorised third-party payment provider.
Payment providers may apply their own terms, privacy policies, security checks and processing requirements.
Customers must use a valid and authorised payment method. ScriptExpert may delay delivery or access while a payment is being reviewed.
ScriptExpert may facilitate the collection of payment on behalf of an Author. The manner in which payment is processed does not, by itself, make ScriptExpert the developer or supplier of a third-party product.
12. Marketplace commission
ScriptExpert receives a commission from sales completed through the marketplace.
The applicable commission, payment-processing costs and other Author charges will be communicated through the Author dashboard, pricing page or applicable commercial agreement.
The commission represents payment for services such as marketplace access, product hosting, technical infrastructure, payment facilitation, customer discovery, promotional functionality and transaction administration.
ScriptExpert may deduct commissions, processing fees, applicable taxes, refunds, chargebacks and other properly incurred amounts before paying the remaining balance to the Author.
Authors may not direct customers away from ScriptExpert for the purpose of avoiding commission on a transaction initiated through the platform.
13. Author payouts
Author earnings are made available according to the payout schedule and minimum payout threshold displayed in the Author account.
A reasonable holding period may be applied to cover potential refunds, chargebacks, payment disputes, fraud investigations and other transaction risks.
ScriptExpert may temporarily withhold a payout where an account is under investigation, identity information has not been verified, a legal obligation applies or there is a reasonable risk that funds will be required to resolve customer claims.
If an Author’s balance becomes negative because of refunds, chargebacks or other valid deductions, ScriptExpert may recover the amount from future sales or request repayment.
14. Product licences
Purchasing a digital product does not normally transfer ownership of the product or its intellectual property.
The customer receives a limited right to use the product under the licence selected during checkout.
The applicable licence may restrict the number of projects, websites, applications, installations, customers or end products for which the product may be used.
Unless the selected licence expressly permits it, customers may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, publish, share or make the original product or source code available as a competing or standalone product.
Customers may customise a product for a permitted project but may not claim ownership of the original product or remove legally required copyright and licence notices.
Products may include third-party or open-source components. Those components may remain subject to separate licence terms, which the customer must respect.
15. Product delivery and downloads
Digital products are generally made available through the customer’s ScriptExpert account after successful payment.
The customer is responsible for downloading and securely storing purchased files while they remain available.
ScriptExpert does not guarantee that every third-party product will remain available for download indefinitely. A product may be removed because of an Author’s decision, a legal complaint, a security concern, an intellectual-property dispute or a violation of platform rules.
Where reasonably possible and legally permitted, existing customers may continue to access a previously purchased version of a removed product.
Access may be disabled where continuing to distribute the product would be unlawful, unsafe or likely to infringe third-party rights.
16. Updates and product support
Updates and support are included only where this is stated on the product page or in the applicable licence.
A one-time purchase does not automatically include lifetime updates, lifetime support or compatibility with all future versions of operating systems, frameworks, libraries, browsers, devices or external services.
Authors must provide any updates, fixes or support expressly promised at the time of purchase.
Where consumer law requires a product to remain in conformity for a particular period, the Author must provide the updates, including security updates, required by that law.
Support does not normally include custom development, installation, server administration, integration with unsupported services or modifications that were not included in the original product description.
17. Customer responsibility before purchasing
Customers should review the full product description before completing an order.
This includes checking the supported technology, framework version, operating system, hosting environment, required skills, third-party dependencies and licence restrictions.
A customer should contact the Author or ScriptExpert before purchasing if an essential requirement is unclear.
Failure to review clearly disclosed requirements does not automatically make a product defective or entitle the customer to a refund.
This does not affect the customer’s rights where the product description was inaccurate, incomplete or misleading.
18. Right of withdrawal for digital products
Consumers located in the European Union or European Economic Area may normally have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within the period provided by applicable law.
Digital products are usually made available immediately after payment.
Before immediate access or downloading begins, a consumer may be asked to expressly request immediate supply and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal may be lost once supply of the digital content begins.
Where the required consent and acknowledgement have been validly obtained and access to the digital product has begun, the consumer may no longer be entitled to cancel the purchase solely because they changed their mind.
If the legally required consent or acknowledgement was not obtained, the consumer retains the rights provided by applicable law.
The loss of the withdrawal right does not affect rights relating to a product that is defective, unavailable, unsafe or materially different from its description.
19. Product conformity
Authors must supply products that conform to the description and contractual information available when the purchase was completed.
A product may be considered non-conforming where an important advertised feature is missing, the supplied files are incomplete, the product does not operate in an environment expressly stated as supported or the product differs materially from its description or demonstration.
A minor difference that does not materially affect normal use may not justify termination of the contract where the Author can correct it within a reasonable period.
Where a product is non-conforming, the customer may be entitled to have the product brought into conformity, receive a replacement or obtain an appropriate price reduction or refund, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
20. Refund policy
Customers may submit a refund request through their ScriptExpert account or by contacting [support email].
A request should clearly explain the problem and include relevant information such as error messages, screenshots, technical details and the steps already taken to resolve the issue.
A refund may be approved where:
the product was not delivered or cannot be accessed;
the supplied product is materially different from its description;
an essential advertised feature is missing;
the product does not function in an expressly supported environment;
the files are incomplete or corrupted;
the product contains malicious code or a serious undisclosed security risk;
the Author cannot or refuses to correct a qualifying defect;
support included with the purchase is not provided; or
the same product was purchased more than once by mistake.
Where appropriate, the Author will first be given a reasonable opportunity to correct the issue, supply missing files or provide a working replacement.
A refund may be issued without requiring further correction where the defect is serious, correction is impossible, the Author refuses to cooperate or the law allows immediate termination.
Refunds are not normally granted solely because a customer changed their mind after losing the statutory withdrawal right, no longer needs the product, expected an unadvertised feature or does not have the technical knowledge required to use a correctly described product.
A refund may also be refused where the issue was caused by unauthorised modifications, unsupported software, an incompatible third-party service or failure to follow the supplied documentation.
These exclusions do not remove any mandatory legal rights.
21. Refund administration
ScriptExpert may investigate a refund request, communicate with the Author and request additional information from either party.
Where a refund is approved, ScriptExpert may issue it on behalf of the Author and deduct the amount from the Author’s account balance.
Refunds will normally be returned using the original payment method. Processing times may depend on the payment provider and the customer’s financial institution.
After receiving a full refund, the customer’s licence ends. The customer must stop using the product and delete all available copies unless applicable law provides otherwise.
22. Payment disputes and chargebacks
Customers are encouraged to contact ScriptExpert before opening a payment dispute or chargeback so that the issue can be investigated through the platform.
Opening a chargeback does not prevent ScriptExpert from providing information about the transaction to the payment provider.
Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in account restrictions.
Nothing in this section prevents a customer from exercising rights available under applicable law or through an authorised payment provider.
23. Subscription services for Authors
ScriptExpert may provide Authors with paid plugins, extensions, analytics, automation tools, promotional features or other software services on a subscription basis.
These services are supplied directly by ScriptExpert and are separate from products sold by independent Authors.
Subscription prices, included functionality, usage limits and billing periods will be displayed before the subscription begins.
Subscriptions may be offered monthly, annually or for another period stated at checkout.
Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. The subscriber authorises ScriptExpert or its payment provider to collect the recurring fee using the selected payment method.
24. Subscription cancellation
An Author may cancel a subscription through the account settings or by contacting ScriptExpert.
Unless otherwise stated, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. Access to the subscription service will continue until that date.
Fees already paid are not normally refunded solely because the subscriber stopped using the service before the end of the billing period.
This does not affect statutory withdrawal rights or the right to request an appropriate remedy where the service was not supplied as described.
ScriptExpert may suspend a subscription where payment is overdue, the service is misused or the subscriber violates these Terms and Conditions.
25. Changes to subscription services
ScriptExpert may improve, modify or replace subscription functionality.
Minor changes may be introduced without prior notice where they do not materially reduce the service purchased.
Where a material change significantly reduces an active paid service, ScriptExpert will provide reasonable notice. The subscriber may be given the option to cancel the affected service where required by law or by the applicable subscription terms.
ScriptExpert may discontinue a subscription service where continued operation is no longer commercially, technically or legally reasonable.
Where appropriate, affected subscribers will receive prior notice and any refund or account credit required by applicable law.
26. Author obligations
Authors are responsible for ensuring that they have the legal right to publish, license and commercially distribute their products.
An Author must not upload copied, stolen, pirated, “nulled” or otherwise unauthorised software.
Authors must have permission to use all source code, images, fonts, trademarks, libraries, data, documentation and other materials included in their products.
Authors must ensure that products do not contain malware, hidden administrative access, undisclosed tracking, credential theft mechanisms or harmful functionality.
Authors are responsible for responding reasonably to customer questions, valid technical issues and conformity complaints.
An Author must promptly notify ScriptExpert if a product becomes unsafe, unlawful, compromised or materially inconsistent with its description.
27. Prohibited products and activities
ScriptExpert may not be used to publish, distribute or promote unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, harmful or infringing products.
Prohibited products include malware, ransomware, credential theft tools, unauthorised surveillance software, stolen source code, pirated software and products primarily designed to facilitate unlawful access to systems or data.
Users may not manipulate sales, reviews, downloads, rankings, referral systems or marketplace statistics.
Users may not submit false refund requests, create accounts using misleading information, interfere with platform security, distribute spam or collect protected data without a lawful basis.
ScriptExpert may maintain additional product acceptance and prohibited-content policies. Where made available to users, those policies form part of these Terms and Conditions.
28. Intellectual-property complaints
A rights holder or authorised representative may report content that is believed to infringe copyright, trademarks or other intellectual-property rights.
The report should identify the protected work, the allegedly infringing product, the location of the content and the legal basis for the complaint.
Reports may be sent to [copyright email] or submitted through the platform’s reporting system.
ScriptExpert may temporarily restrict a product while the complaint is investigated.
The affected Author may be given an opportunity to respond unless disclosure would violate applicable law, a court order or another binding legal requirement.
ScriptExpert may permanently remove content where infringement is established or where the Author cannot provide credible evidence of the right to distribute the product.
29. Reporting illegal or harmful content
Users may report products, reviews, accounts or other content they reasonably believe to be illegal or contrary to these Terms and Conditions.
A report should provide enough information for ScriptExpert to identify the content and understand the reason for the complaint.
ScriptExpert may investigate the report and take proportionate action, including restricting visibility, suspending sales, disabling downloads, withholding payments or removing the content.
Where required, the affected user will receive information about the reason for the decision and the available appeal process.
30. Reviews and ratings
Customers may be invited to review products they have purchased or used.
Reviews must reflect a genuine experience and should focus on the relevant product, documentation, support or purchasing experience.
Reviews must not include unlawful content, threats, personal data, unrelated advertising or deliberately false claims.
Authors must not fabricate, purchase or manipulate reviews. They must not pressure customers to remove legitimate negative feedback.
ScriptExpert may remove or restrict a review that violates these rules or shows credible signs of manipulation.
A review identified as verified means that ScriptExpert has connected it to a purchase or another reasonable verification method.
31. Product ranking and visibility
Products may be ranked or recommended according to factors such as relevance, category, description quality, customer ratings, sales history, refund history, recent updates, compatibility, Author reliability and compliance with marketplace rules.
The importance of individual factors may differ depending on the search terms, selected filters, category and customer preferences.
Some Authors may purchase advertising or promotional placement.
Paid placements will be identified as sponsored, promoted or otherwise commercially prioritised. Purchasing promotion does not guarantee sales or permanent visibility.
ScriptExpert may also feature new, popular, recently updated or editorially selected products.
32. Product removal and account suspension
ScriptExpert may restrict or remove a product where there is a reasonable indication of illegality, infringement, fraud, malware, a serious security vulnerability, misleading information or another material violation of these Terms and Conditions.
An account may be restricted or suspended where a user repeatedly or seriously violates platform rules, creates a financial or security risk or fails to provide legally required verification information.
Where appropriate, ScriptExpert will use a proportionate measure and restrict an individual product before suspending an entire account.
The affected user will normally receive an explanation of the main reason for the decision.
Immediate action may be taken where necessary to prevent fraud, security incidents, unlawful distribution or significant harm to customers or third parties.
33. Account termination
Customers and Authors may request closure of their accounts, subject to unresolved transactions, outstanding payments, legal retention requirements and active disputes.
ScriptExpert may terminate an account following a serious or repeated breach of these Terms and Conditions.
Where ScriptExpert terminates its entire relationship with a professional Author, it will provide prior notice where required by applicable law.
Prior notice may not be provided where immediate termination is required by law, justified by an urgent security or fraud risk or based on repeated violations.
Termination does not remove payment obligations, intellectual-property responsibilities, refund obligations or other rights and liabilities that arose before termination.
34. Appeals and internal complaints
A user may challenge a product restriction, account suspension, moderation decision or termination by contacting [appeals email] or using the available appeal function.
The appeal should explain why the user believes the decision was incorrect and should include relevant supporting information.
ScriptExpert will review the complaint within a reasonable period and in an objective and proportionate manner.
Where a decision is reversed, access or content will be restored where technically and legally possible.
35. Customer and Author data
ScriptExpert processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.
Authors may receive customer information that is reasonably necessary to provide the product, deliver support, handle a legitimate complaint or comply with tax and accounting obligations.
Authors must not use customer information for unrelated advertising or unsolicited marketing unless they have a separate lawful basis and any required consent.
Customers must not use Author information for harassment, unlawful contact or any purpose unrelated to a legitimate transaction or dispute.
36. Platform availability
ScriptExpert aims to provide a secure and reliable marketplace but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
Maintenance, technical failures, cybersecurity incidents, internet disruptions, third-party service failures and legal requirements may temporarily affect availability.
ScriptExpert will take reasonable measures to restore affected services and reduce disruption.
Users are responsible for maintaining suitable backups of products, source code, documentation and other important files.
37. Responsibility of ScriptExpert and Authors
ScriptExpert is responsible for operating the marketplace and for services supplied directly by ScriptExpert.
Products offered by independent Authors are created, described, licensed and supported by those Authors. Each Author is responsible for the legality, quality, security, functionality and conformity of their products, including any support or updates promised on the product page.
ScriptExpert is not responsible for a loss caused exclusively by an Author, a customer, an external service or an event outside ScriptExpert’s reasonable control.
However, ScriptExpert remains responsible for its own actions, its own services and any legal obligations that apply directly to the platform.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability, consumer protection or another right that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
38. Third-party services
Some products may depend on third-party software, APIs, payment gateways, hosting providers, cloud services, operating systems or external platforms.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, ScriptExpert does not control those external services and cannot guarantee their future availability, pricing, compatibility or functionality.
Authors must clearly disclose material third-party dependencies.
Customers are responsible for obtaining any separate accounts, subscriptions, API keys or licences required to operate those services.
39. Changes to these Terms and Conditions
ScriptExpert may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect legal requirements, platform developments, new services, security needs or changes to marketplace operations.
Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
Changes will not retroactively remove rights arising from purchases already completed.
Professional Authors will receive advance notice of material changes where required by the rules applicable to online intermediation services.
Immediate changes may be introduced where necessary to comply with law, address fraud, respond to a cybersecurity threat or prevent significant harm.
40. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in the European Union and the national laws of the country in which the ScriptExpert operator is established.
For consumers, this choice of law does not remove mandatory protections provided by the law of the country in which the consumer has their habitual residence.
41. Dispute resolution
Users are encouraged to contact ScriptExpert before beginning formal legal proceedings.
Customer complaints may be submitted through the platform or sent to support[@]scriptexpert.net.
ScriptExpert will attempt to resolve complaints fairly and within a reasonable period.
Consumers may have the right to use an applicable alternative dispute-resolution body. Information about the relevant body will be made available at www.scriptexpert.net/user/support or upon request.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions prevents a consumer from bringing a claim before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
For disputes involving Authors or other business users, the competent courts at ScriptExpert’s registered office will have jurisdiction unless mandatory law or a separate written agreement provides otherwise.
42. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
Where legally possible, the invalid provision will be interpreted or replaced in a manner that most closely reflects its intended commercial and legal purpose.
43. No waiver
A failure or delay by ScriptExpert in enforcing a provision does not mean that ScriptExpert has waived the right to enforce that provision later.
44. Entire agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, licence terms, refund rules, Author policies and any specific terms accepted for a paid service, form the agreement governing use of ScriptExpert.
Where specific terms for a product, licence or subscription conflict with these general Terms and Conditions, the more specific terms will apply to that product or service, provided that they do not remove mandatory legal rights.
